The Phocos FR100-B is a 104 L DC chest refrigerator/freezer from the FR-B Series, built for off-grid and edge-of-grid cooling. It connects directly to a 12 V or 24 V battery bank (automatic voltage recognition) with a simple 2-wire DC connection, so no inverter is required. The adjustable mechanical thermostat lets the same unit work as either a fridge or a freezer, while the new BOOST switch allows you to choose between faster cooling and the default high-efficiency ECO mode. A maintenance-free brushless DC compressor, aluminium inner lining, drain plug, hanging storage basket and lockable top-opening lid make it reliable and easy to clean. Internal protection against low voltage and reverse polarity is included, and it uses environmentally-friendly R600a refrigerant. In ECO mode it draws as little as 82 Wh/day as a fridge at 21 °C ambient. Backed by a 2 year warranty.
