The Schneider Electric Conext XW+ 8548 E is a single-phase hybrid inverter/charger for 48 V battery systems, delivering 6800 W of continuous AC output at 25°C (6000 W at 40°C) at 230 Vac, with 8500 W for 30 minutes and 12000 W for 60 seconds of overload capability for starting heavy loads. It combines a powerful 140 A battery charger, dual AC inputs for both grid and generator, a 60 A automatic transfer relay with typical 8 ms transfer time, and grid-tie functionality with up to 6.0 kVA grid sell on AC1. Intelligent features include grid sell, peak load shaving, generator support and prioritized consumption of battery or external DC energy, making it suitable for off-grid solar, residential grid-tie solar with backup power, self-consumption, backup power and community electrification. It supports flooded, gel, AGM, lithium ion and custom battery types, operates in ambient temperatures up to 70°C (with derating above 25°C), and can be clustered in single- or three-phase systems up to 76.5 kW. Field serviceable and easy to commission, it can be monitored, troubleshot or firmware-upgraded via the Conext ComBox.
